History

The Daimler Armoured Car Mk.I was one of Britain’s most successful reconnaissance vehicles of the Second World War. Fast, compact, and impressively well‑armed for its size, it featured a powerful 95 hp Daimler engine and a 4×4 suspension system that gave it excellent mobility across rough terrain.

Developed from the earlier Dingo scout car, it carried a turret‑mounted 2‑pounder gun and served across multiple theatres, from Europe to North Africa, remaining in service well into the 1950s.
