History
The MiG-27 supersonic fighter-bomber was developed in the USSR based on the MiG-23. It made its first flight in 1973 and was in service with various countries until the late 2010s. To improve its effectiveness against ground targets, the MiG-27 was equipped with the PrNK-23 targeting and navigation system, the Orbita-20-23K digital onboard computer, and a laser rangefinder.
The aircraft was equipped with an automatic six-barreled 30 mm GSh-6-30 cannon and seven hardpoints capable of mounting up to 4,000 kg of various missiles and bombs. The swing wings enabled the MiG-27 to operate effectively at both low and high speeds.
