History

The Sd.Kfz.164 Nashorn (“rhinoceros”) was a German self‑propelled tank destroyer, armed with the infamous 8.8 cm Pak 43—one of the most powerful anti‑tank guns of the entire war. From 1943 onward, the Nashorn was deployed on the Eastern Front, in Italy, and later in Western Europe. Thanks to its tremendous firepower, it could destroy enemy tanks at long range, although the vehicle remained vulnerable due to its thin armor and open fighting compartment.
