Why this kit?
This 1:72 kit from Attack brings the Humber Light Reconnaissance Car – 1st Czechoslovak Independent Armoured Brigade Group (CIABG) to life with fine detailing and a compelling historical background. Perfect for model builders who want to add vehicles from the Western European liberation campaigns to their collection.
History
The Humber Light Reconnaissance Car was designed by the British as a fast, lightweight reconnaissance vehicle. The 1st Czechoslovak Independent Armoured Brigade Group, composed of Czechoslovak troops serving with the Allies, made extensive use of this type of vehicle during the liberation of Western Europe in 1944–1945.
The brigade became particularly well‑known for its operations around Dunkirk, where it maintained a long‑term encirclement of German forces. The Humber LRC played a key role as a reconnaissance and liaison vehicle. Thanks to its agility, reliable engine, and light armor, it could quickly gather intelligence, conduct patrols, and support command posts.
The deployment of the Humber LRC by the 1st CIABG reflects the story of a small but determined Allied unit, fighting for the liberation of Europe and the future of their own occupied homeland.
