The M4A3 76(W) was a late‑war variant of the iconic Sherman tank. It featured a more powerful 76mm gun and “wet stowage” ammunition storage to reduce fire risk. U.S. forces used this version from 1944 onward in Europe, including the advance through France, the Ardennes, and Germany. Its reliability and improved firepower made it one of the most appreciated Sherman variants.
