The 7.5 cm Leichtes Infanteriegeschütz 18, commonly known as the LiG 18, was developed during the 1930s for the German Army. It was designed to provide direct fire support to infantry units and saw extensive service throughout World War II. The gun was deployed on nearly every major front, including Poland, France, the Eastern Front, and North Africa. Its relatively light weight allowed crews to move it quickly when required.
