The T-72 was developed in the Soviet Union during the late 1960s and entered production in the early 1970s. Designed as a reliable and cost effective main battle tank, it became one of the most widely produced tanks in history. Thousands were manufactured and exported to countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The T-72B3 is a major modernization of the original design, featuring upgraded armor, improved fire control systems, enhanced optics, and a more powerful engine.

The Arena variant is fitted with an active protection system designed to detect and intercept incoming anti tank threats before impact. The T-72 family served throughout the Cold War and continues to operate in several armed forces around the world.

Thanks to its long service history and continuous upgrades, the T-72B3 remains one of the most important and recognizable main battle tanks of the modern era.
