History
The Sd.Kfz. 9, also known as the Famo, was the largest German half-track used during World War II. Development began in 1936 by the company FAMO, and full production started in 1939.
It was powered by a 10.8-liter Maybach HL108 TUKRM V12 engine producing 270 horsepower. Approximately 2,500 units were built between 1939 and 1945. The Sd.Kfz. 9 served as a heavy artillery tractor and recovery vehicle, and several specialized variants were developed, including versions equipped with cranes and anti-aircraft gun
