The LT vz. 38, later designated PzKpfw 38(t) by the Wehrmacht, was originally developed in Czechoslovakia and widely used after the German annexation. The Ausf.A variant saw action in Poland and France, where it earned a reputation for reliability, mobility and surprisingly strong firepower for its class. Despite its light armor, the 38(t) remained an important vehicle during the early phase of the war.
