History
The Humber Armoured Car was one of the most widely produced British armoured cars of the Second World War. It supplemented the Humber Light Reconnaissance Car and remained in service until the end of the war.
The Mark I was the original version, with a hull similar to the Guy Armoured Car Mark 1A. It was armed with one 15mm and one 7.92mm Besa machine gun. The crew of this vehicle consisted of three people: driver, gunner, and commander. Approximately 300 examples were built.
The Mark III had a larger turret with space for a radio operator, allowing the commander to delegate radio control duties to a radio operator.
