The Hotchkiss H35 was developed for the French Army during the 1930s as a light tank. It saw extensive service during the German invasion of France in 1940. Some vehicles were later captured and reused by Germany. The variant equipped with the more powerful 37mm SA38 gun provided improved firepower compared to earlier versions. Today, the Hotchkiss H35 is regarded as one of the most recognizable French tanks of the early Second World War.
