This scenery set from Early War Miniatures in 1:72 is ideal for bringing your 1940 Dutch defensive lines to life.

The Dutch armed forces used these roadblocks in May 1940 to slow down German armoured vehicles and infantry. They consisted of wooden or metal poles driven into the ground at an angle, often combined with barbed wire or other obstacles. They were most commonly seen in the Peel‑Raam defensive line and other fortified zones during the German invasion. For anyone recreating the early‑war period, these “asparagus” barriers are a recognisable and authentic element.
