The StuG III was one of Germany’s most produced armored vehicles during World War II. Originally designed as an infantry support gun, it quickly evolved into an effective tank destroyer. The Ausf. G variant was built from 1942 until the end of the war, with Alkett responsible for a major portion of the production. This late version saw action on multiple fronts, including the Eastern Front and the defense of Germany in 1944–1945.
