The sWS (Schwere Wehrmachtschlepper) was produced from 1943 onward as a heavy halftrack for the Wehrmacht. The vehicle was intended for transporting ammunition, weapons, troops and sometimes even anti‑aircraft equipment. Thanks to its powerful engine and robust design, the sWS was able to traverse rough terrain effectively, making it popular among Panzer and artillery units. Both open and enclosed variants existed, and the vehicle remained in service until the end of the war.
