This 1:72 Fordson WOT2D ‘Van Body’ from Planet Models is an excellent kit for model builders who enjoy adding unique, less commonly built WWII vehicles to their collection.

The Fordson WOT2D ‘Van Body’ was a variant within the WOT series (War Office Truck), specifically designed for light transport and support duties within the British Army during the Second World War. Unlike the open‑cab WOT2E version, the WOT2D featured a fully enclosed body, making it ideal for communication services, medical support, and mobile workshops.

The closed body gave the vehicle a distinctive silhouette and made it particularly versatile. The WOT series was produced in large numbers between 1940 and 1945 and became known for its reliability, ease of maintenance, and robust Ford V8 engine.
