The Mine Exploder T1E3 was an experimental system designed for use on the American M4 Sherman tank. Its purpose was to clear minefields and create safe routes for advancing Allied forces. Sherman tanks entered large scale service from 1942 and were used by the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and many other Allied nations. They played a major role throughout World War II.
